Brought to you by the creators of Scene, the bartender’s bar for kink, UnScene is London’s play-focused event for curious newcomers and seasoned explorers alike.

Welcoming people of all genders and sexualities, UnScene is for those who are discerning about the experiences they seek and the company they keep. Designed as a warm, inviting space for self-expression and exploration, the night weaves together striking art and light installations, pulsating, carefully curated soundtracks, and a mix of exciting play spaces alongside softer areas to unwind, connect, and socialise between scenes.

Play is encouraged but never expected. There’s no dancefloor here; instead, every detail is intentionally crafted to create a beautiful, immersive evening where you can tune into the desires of your mind, body, and senses… to see and be seen.

FAQS

  • Please send us an application via the ‘apply’ page. Membership cannot be guaranteed. UnScene reserves the right not to give feedback to a declined application. You will be notified by email if you are successful or unsuccessful. Please see our Policy on ‘Rules’ page.

  • UnScene members must attend parties with at least one buddy (pal) or within a small group.

Scene members may attend parties independently.

Each pal or group member must have an approved application and be listed as a confirmed attendee.

    Arrival and Check-Ins

Pals are expected to arrive and leave together wherever possible.

If someone joins a group, that group must collect them on entry.

Pals do not have to remain together throughout the event but must check in with one another periodically to ensure mutual wellbeing.

    Accountability

Pals share mutual responsibility for each other’s safety and behaviour during the event.

If a guest is asked to leave, their pal (or pals) will also be required to leave.

In cases of intoxication, organisers expect that pals will assist in ensuring each other’s safe departure from the venue.

Where serious misconduct occurs (e.g. assault or harassment), the pal’s continued membership may also be reviewed, depending on context and case-by-case assessment.

    Purpose

The pal system reinforces community accountability. It encourages guests to attend with trusted peers and to choose companions carefully, understanding that they share responsibility for maintaining the event’s safety and culture.

Join our WhatsApp community group Buddy Up to find buddies to attend.

  • Dress or undress in what makes you feel sexy. However we ask you to go for the avant garde; the edgy, the bold, the courageous, with a nod to fetish fashion and extra points for avoiding black or red but this is not a rule. Please support local independent designers. You do not have to spend a fortune, we ask for effort and most of all that you be expressive and creative. Check our IG for inspo.

AVOID wearing sequins, fancy dress, cosplay, ‘festival’ wear including feather headdresses, glitter, office wear or steampunk style. Check our IG for inspo. Full nudity is allowed inside the venue. However all guests must cover up completely to go out of the main door and to the smoking area. This is to protect the venue and the event.

The UnScene Social dress code is casual with a hint of kink and held in a public bar so no nudity or partial nudity is allowed. Our above dress code rules apply for what is not allowed.

  • No. Scene members will automatically gain membership to UnScene. There will be a limited number of membership tickets available to Scene members per event.

  • As this is an event that is open to newer players as well as experienced players, references are not required. Membership will be based on your application.

However if a Scene member can vouch for you, that’s great! You must have their consent to use them as a reference.

  • Join our members only WhatsApp community to buy and sell tickets for our events and socials. Please email info@unscene.uk with your name, membership email address and copy in the member who is buying your ticket. Do NOT sell to non members. This will result in your membership being revoked.

Ticket costs to be transferred between members directly.

  • If membership is granted, members can join the WhatsApp community Buddy Up group to find members to buddy up with. The buddy system applies to main parties only. It does not apply to socials or play socials, where guests may attend alone.

We suggest attending our socials to meet others first before buying a ticket to an event. If you do not gave a buddy(ies) for an event, we cannot allow entry. So spend time building connections.

NB- Absolutely zero tolerance of any kind of forceful/coercive behaviour or cruising of any kind (i.e persistently asking members on the door to be your buddy) No buddy, no entry. We could not be clearer!

    Purpose

The pal system reinforces community accountability. It encourages guests to attend with trusted peers and to choose companions carefully, understanding that they share responsibility for maintaining the event’s safety and culture.
