Brought to you by the creators of Scene, the bartender’s bar for kink, UnScene is London’s play focussed event that invites those who are newer to the exciting world of BDSM exploration as well as more experienced folk alike; people of all genders and sexualities, who are discerning about the experiences they want to have, and with whom.

Passionate about creating an inviting, comfortable space to explore self expression, UnScene brings together stimulating, beautiful art and light installations, pulsating, specially curated soundtracks to move you through the evening and exciting, edgy play spaces alongside soft lounge spaces in which to relax between scenes or simply chat to friends and socialise. Play is encouraged but of course never expected.

With emphasis on play, there is no dancefloor, instead great care is spent on designing a gorgeous evening where you can focus on the desires of your mind, body and senses, to see and be seen.

Invited guests are vetted before attending by way of application, and our welfare team, many of whom are already monitors of other events, are trusted, experienced and vetted themselves by at least two other Scene members.

Embolden your inner exhibitionist in a relaxed setting. Consent is at the heart of the event and must be adhered to.

Welcome to UnScene.

FAQS

  • Please send us an application via the ‘apply’ page. Membership cannot be guaranteed. UnScene reserves the right not to give feedback to a declined application. You will be notified by email if you are successful or unsuccessful. Please see our Policy on ‘Rules’ page.

  • UnScene members must attend parties with at least one pal or within a small group.

Scene members may attend parties independently.

Each pal or group member must have an approved application and be listed as a confirmed attendee.

    Arrival and Check-Ins

Pals are expected to arrive and leave together wherever possible.

If someone joins a group, that group must collect them on entry.

Pals do not have to remain together throughout the event but must check in with one another periodically to ensure mutual wellbeing.

    Accountability

Pals share mutual responsibility for each other’s safety and behaviour during the event.

If a guest is asked to leave, their pal (or pals) will also be required to leave.

In cases of intoxication, organisers expect that pals will assist in ensuring each other’s safe departure from the venue.

Where serious misconduct occurs (e.g. assault or harassment), the pal’s continued membership may also be reviewed, depending on context and case-by-case assessment.

    Purpose

The pal system reinforces community accountability. It encourages guests to attend with trusted peers and to choose companions carefully, understanding that they share responsibility for maintaining the event’s safety and culture.

  • Dress or undress in what makes you feel sexy. However we ask you to go for the avant garde; the edgy, the bold, the courageous, with a nod to fetish fashion and extra points for avoiding black or red but this is not a rule. Please support local independent designers. You do not have to spend a fortune, we ask for effort and most of all that you be expressive and creative. Check our IG for inspo.

Avoid wearing fancy dress, cosplay, sequins, ‘festival’ wear, office wear and steampunk style. Check our IG for inspo. Full nudity is allowed inside the venue. However all guests must cover up to go out of the main door and to the smoking area. This is to protect the venue and the event.

Our play-social Dirty Talk has no strict dress code and the UnScene Social is is casual. Our dress code rules apply above for what is not allowed.

  • No. Scene members will automatically gain membership to UnScene. There will be a limited number of membership tickets available to Scene members per event.
